Powerhouse - Carlow Businesswomen’s Network is being launched by Carlow Local Enterprise Office and commences with an online event titled “Women Who Lead & Succeed - Strike a Harmony Between Work & Life” on the June 25th 2021. Local businesses working strongly together will be key as we move through 2021.”
Welcoming the project, Cllr. Tom O’Neill, Cathaoirleach with Carlow County Council said “First and foremost, the Powerhouse events are about harnessing ideas, innovation, creativity and learning from each other. It’s also about looking at your business and asking if there is a better way to do things, is there a new opportunity or market to explore?”. The Cathaoirleach continued to say “I encourage all women considering setting up their own business to contact their Local Enterprise Office to see how they can help you and be part of Powerhouse which will provide a supportive network which can make this happen for business women in County Carlow”.
Gabrielle Carroll, Business Advisor with Carlow Local Enterprise Office said “The network series consists of monthly online sessions with experienced guest speakers from across the country on different business topics. These are common to every business and looking at how people approach them differently to you is where the learning and development comes.” She went on to explain that the Powerhouse events will look at key business aspects - managing, finance, marketing, sales and will also offer a platform for engagement and networking”.
The programme will link in with National Women’s Enterprise Day in October which is now entering its 15th Year. As an important milestone in the Local Enterprise Office calendar it provides an opportunity each year to highlight the success stories of women in Carlow who continue to grow and develop business, across every sector.
Coordinating the Series, is Jane Manzor of Manzor Marketing who has previously supported business network events for women. Of the Network she said, “We are delighted to team up with Carlow LEO in delivering these events.
