Financial Support Criteria

Is your business eligible for financial support?

 

The LEO Cork North & West provides a range of financial supports to qualifying small businesses based in North & West Cork employing less than 10 employees.

Enterprise projects eligible for support are :

  • Businesses engaged in volume / wholesale manufacturing (including food, engineering, marine services, craft) where there is clear added value.
  • Internationally traded services (ITS Details)
  • Innovative projects with National & Export market potential

Companies seeking financial support must: be located in the North Or West Cork area. However, if the border for some areas is unclear as to whether you are in our are or in the South Cork LEO area then please contact either office. Those situated in a Gaeltacht area must contact Udaras na Gaeltachta have less than 10 employees including the promoter(s)

They must clearly demonstrate the following:

  • be in the commercial sphere, that is a profit oriented businesses be capable of attaining economic viability
  • demonstrate a commercial market for their proposed product or service and appropriate turnover
  • have adequate overall finance available to the project (detail in your application how you will fund the business)
  • have the necessary management and technical skills
  • have capacity for growth and new job creation have potential for export, please outline in your application
  • full time commercial businesses
  • NOT be an existing Enterprise Ireland client/receiving Enterprise Ireland funding

The LEO must also adhere to the De Minimis ruling on EU Aid whereby no SME due to competition rules, may receive more than €300,000 in any three year period.
