This is a practical programme is for business owners, managers and key staff members and is aimed at sustaining and growing their businesses. The programme is designed for those who have an existing business which has been trading for over 18 months. The aim of the course is to assist small business owners in developing a strategic approach to growing their business and develop a greater understanding of the financial management of their business.
Business Development Programme

If you make a booking for this programme and are based outside of our catchment area, we will notify you to cancel your place and will re-direct you to your own Local Enterprise Office for training.
Workshops:
The training workshops will take place in person on the following dates:

- Wednesday 6th November 2024 - Half day (Online) 9.30am-12.30pm
- Wednesday 13th November 2024 - Half day (Online) 9.30am-12.30pm
- Wednesday 20th November 2024 - Full Day In - Person 10.00 am-4.30pm
This practical management development programme offers structured support for owner-managers of small businesses which have been up and running for a minimum of 18 months or more. The aim of this programme is to provide you (the owner manager) with the management, leadership, business skills and knowledge to achieve sustainability and growth in your business.
The programme will help you to:
- Effectively address your business challenges
- Develop and grow your business
- Incorporate proven management strategies into your business
- Gain a greater understanding of:
- Why you are in business and where your business is going
- Marketing your business
- Continuous improvement
- Developing yourself and your entrepreneurial capabilities
Mentoring:
- A number of one to one mentoring hours will be available to each client with the trainers. More information on the mentoring will be made available at the start of the programme. It will be tailored to each client’s specific business development needs.
Cost of the Programme:
- The programme will cost €60 per person, this includes 2 full days and 5 half days of training, all training handouts, tea/coffees and lunches throughout the training, and a number of one to one mentoring hours. The programme fee is highly subsidised by the LEO Cork North & West.
