Corr Optical, a Baldoyle-based company founded in 1998 and supported by Fingal Local Enterprise Office, is a reliable supplier of high-quality frames and prescription lenses to eyecare professionals across Ireland. With over two decades of experience, the company is known for its expertise and dedication to excellence. As Ireland’s only ISO 9001:2015 & UKAS accredited glazing laboratory, Corr Optical upholds high standards for quality and precision. In addition, they provide eyewear for industrial settings, workplaces, and sports, and are the only certified producer of prescription safety eyewear in Ireland. Their CorrPRO Protective Eyewear brand is trusted by companies like ESB Networks and Boston Scientific.

Corr Optical also exports products across Europe and has plans to expand further into the Scandinavian and French markets. In 2020, they were one of 10 Fingal finalists in the Fingal Enterprise Awards, which recognises the achievements of small businesses. They were awarded second prize for their innovative eyewear solutions for industrial and sports use.

The company has received support from Fingal Local Enterprise Office (LEO) through various grants, including the Expansion Grant in 2014, twice in 2017, and again in 2019. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they also benefited from the LEO Client Stimulus Scheme, which provided funding to cover operational costs. This support enabled them to focus on New Market Development and mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 and Brexit.

Corr Optical has participated in the LEO Mentoring Programme, working closely with mentors to address specific business needs and implement effective strategies for growth. In 2024, they joined the Benelux Export Accelerator Programme, part of the Export Development Programme, to explore new opportunities in the Benelux region. From June 18th to 20th, representatives from Corr Optical travelled to Brussels, engaging in workshops and networking events that helped them better understand the market and build valuable connections.

As part of the 2024 National Ploughing Championships held from September 17th to 19th in Ratheniska, Co. Laois, Corr Optical represented Fingal LEO at the Local Enterprise Village. This event provided a platform to showcase their business and connect with a diverse audience. Niall and Aoibhín McCormack of Corr Optical Frames & Glazing Laboratory proudly represented the company, highlighting their ongoing commitment to quality and innovation.
