Congratulations to WeBringg Ltd., overall winner of the 2018 Fingal Enterprise Award announced at the flagship event of Local Enterprise Week. The start-up business founded by Alan Hickey and Sean Murray of Castleknock, won the top award in the competition, securing a €5,000 cash prize and will now go on to represent Fingal at the National Enterprise Awards competition in May.
This year's competition saw ten finalists battle it out in an intensive assessment process for the coveted award. An independent panel of judges chaired by Michael Dawson (founder of One4All) interviewed each candidate and scrutinised each application before making their decision. There were joint runners up, DropChef and ScoobyBox/BusterBox, who will each receive a runner up prize of €1,500. All of the prize funds will be invested in the further growth of the winning businesses.
Congratulating the winner of the Fingal Enterprise Award this year, the Mayor of Fingal Cllr Mary McCamley said: “I am so impressed with the extraordinary entrepreneurial talent in this competition. It is fantastic that Fingal County Council, through our Local Enterprise Office, is cultivating these wonderful small businesses and providing very practical supports to help them to flourish. Well done to WeBringg and all of the 10 finalists this year”.
