Christmas Comes Early for Fingal's Female Entrepreneurs
As we prepare to celebrate Christmas 2021, Fingal's female entrepreneurs are gearing up for another fantastic online networking event to finish 2021 in the spirit of hope, ambition, and making it happen.
Now in its sixth year, Fingal Enterprising Women Network (FEWN) has proven to be an invaluable platform to help female entrepreneurs learn, connect with and empower each other as they navigate their business journey.
An initiative of Local Enterprise Office Fingal, FEWN has become an integral part of life as a female entrepreneur in the local area.
Each online event features a keynote speaker, after which participants are invited to join breakout rooms where they have an opportunity to network with like-minded businesswomen.
The year to date has seen six FEWN online networking events featuring some excellent guest speakers who shared their insights on a range of business-related topics, including starting a podcast, managing your money mindset, and making the most of Instagram.
Highlights from 2021 included guest speakers such as Author Cathy Kelly, TV presenter Gráinne
Seoige
, and the Editor of Irish Country Magazine, Klara Heron.
The upcoming Christmas event aims to end the year on a high with "Hope, Ambition and Making It Happen" featuring Hotelier, Entrepreneur, and Co-Presenter of RTE's "At Your Service," John Brennan, as the guest speaker.
John recently published his book "My Name is Jhon," in which he demonstrates that with grit, determination, and playing to your strengths, the impossible becomes possible. In keeping with the season's spirit, some lucky participants at this FEWN event will receive copies of the book, undoubtedly inspiring its readers as we welcome a new year of business opportunities.
Speaking about female entrepreneurship in the area, Oisín Geoghegan, Head of Enterprise at LEO Fingal, explained,
"S
ince
the pandemic, businesswomen have had to find alternative ways to build their network, so these online networking events have proven instrumental in making this happen. LEO Fingal is very proud of our community of female entrepreneurs, and we look forward to seeing female entrepreneurship in Fingal go from strength to strength in
2022 .
"
Sharon
Rossignuolo
, Manager of the Fingal Enterprising Women Network, said, "Being in business can be a lonely journey, so building a support network is crucial in keeping the motivation and enthusiasm that's needed to run a successful business. FEWN is a warm and welcoming environment that promotes empowerment and encouragement. I would invite all female entrepreneurs and businesswomen to come along and experience it for themselves."
The FEWN online networking event, "Hope, Ambition and Making It Happen," featuring John Brennan, is
on December 14th, 2021, from 11 am - 12.30 pm
. The event is free of charge, and you can book your place at
