Senior Lean advisor in Enterprise Ireland's Lean / Operational Excellence team. Currently
supporting Enterprise Ireland's food companies in implementing Lean transforms having
previously managed Lean Start and Plus business offers. Managed the successful Lean for
Micro (LEOs) pilot in 2015, supported the roll out of the IDA Lean initiative, 2016 and Lean
Business Ireland’s roll out of regional lean networks, 2018.


Member of Lean Business Ireland committee and West Northwest Lean network committee.
Previously was the technical manager in Eolas accredited ecotoxicity laboratory.

Programme Manager and Environmental Consultant at Clean Technology Centre, Munster Technological University.

 

James is a part time lecturer in MTU in the area of resource efficiency, but has also provided training in areas of energy management, resource efficiency, circular economy and sustainability on behalf of Solas, Failte Ireland, Skillnets and Local Authorities and the EPA.

 James was responsible for managing 2 national resource efficiency programmes on behalf of the EPA; Green Hospitality Certification Programme (2008-2016) and the Green Business Programme on behalf of the EPA (2011- 2018). The GB programme worked with more that 350 businesses and identified €14million cost savings.

James is now providing supports for SMEs through the LEO Green for Micro programme, EI Green Start and Climate Action vouchers and the SEAI Energy Auditing scheme.

GTC / The Innovation Exchange

At the recent Digital West Conference, Galway Technology Centre was named as the first regional channel partner of The Innovation Exchange.

The partnership will offer SMEs located in the West of Ireland, and operating in the digital transformation space, the unique opportunity to pitch to, and collaborate with, large corporates looking to access innovation.

As part of this partnership, Galway Technology Centre, which supports innovative, globally trading companies in the ICT sector, will bring both corporates and scale-ups based in the west of Ireland on board as The Innovation Exchange members. Furthermore, it will bring benefits of The Innovation Exchange to enterprise hubs across the west of Ireland.

The Innovation Exchange, is Ireland’s first innovation marketplace. It connects large companies facing digital transformation challenges with technology companies that can fast track the solutions. The initiative is managed by Furthr (formerly Dublin BIC) and funded by Skillnet Ireland.
