LEO Galway and Galway County Council in conjunction with Action Tuam invite you to the announcement of the winners of the Entrepreneur Competition and a business networking event. This takes place in the Ard Rí House Hotel on Wednesday 22nd of May from 3pm – 4.30pm.

 

People with a new, innovative idea or those who have set up a business within the last 5 years were invited to take part in this Entrepreneur Competition with a first-place prize of €20,000. The finalists will meet the judges on the morning of May 22nd where they will assess each entry on the market research conducted, the customer value, the viability of the business model, and their strategy for the future. The winners will be announced at the afternoon networking event.

 

This in-person event is the perfect chance to expand your network, share ideas, and build valuable relationships.

 

Mr. Liam Conneally, Chief Executive, Galway County Council said "Promoting enterprise and stimulating entrepreneurship is at the core of Galway County Councils mission. This competition is designed to proactively target those with a business idea to become founders, and to give entrepreneurs and those with a small business the confidence and skillset to scale. The business networking event will help support and foster a culture of empowerment and success for entrepreneurs and micro enterprises." 

 

Caroline McDonagh, Acting Head of Enterprise of LEO Galway added "This competition will challenge entrepreneurs with a business idea or those already in business to focus where their business is now, and where they can take it. The supports offered for the winners will offer them a real chance to grow their business."
