We will also ensure that you gain an understanding of the taxation system, revenue regulations and will be able to understand the duties of your accountant.

Each week we will focus on a specific topic:

 

  • Self-Assessment – introducing your to the concept of entrepreneurship and what it means to be a business owner. The downs and ups and how to deal with both.
  • We’ll undertake a Personal Skills Analysis, set personal goals and look at the key steps to starting a business,
  • Legal Issues for Start-up businesses, including the companies acts and legislation; self-assessment taxation system, responsibilities to the revenue of the self-employed and doing business online.
  • Market and Market research, which aims to give a solid professional grounding in the principles of marketing leading up to developing a marketing plan
  • Sales and networking to include preparing sales pitches and networking pitches.
  • Administration and bookkeeping ensuring that participants understand basic bookkeeping, the creation of internal controls and revenue commissioner ready accounts, as well as how why and when to register for appropriate taxes. In this week we’ll also look at pricing, break-even analysis and funding options for your business.
  • Finance and financial management
  • Business Planning
  • A focus on sustainability to create a business that reduces its impact on the environment.
