Course Outline:
The Start Your Own Business Course focuses on those with a business idea and who are unsure how to develop the idea into a business plan. This programme will provide individuals who are seeking to start their own business with the skills, management tools and expertise in making the right decisions, planning and organising effectively. This programme will be delivered through a mix of online and in person sessions and will guide participants through the various aspects of starting and running a business and assist them in assessing the viability of their business idea.
This is a hybrid course delivered with in person sessions and online sessions taking place through Zoom.

Course Content:
Participants will be able assess the viability of business ideas and understand essential elements needed to bring an enterprise from to concept to profit. They will also learn the essential elements required to start up and run their own businesses effectively. Contents of the programme include;

- HR and employment legislation
- Sources of finance
- Costing and pricing
- Researching the market
- Marketing for the small business
- Legal issues for start ups
