The Start Your Own Business Training programme has been designed to address the needs of those wishing to start their own business, or those who have recently started trading. it is aimed at providing practical support, advice and guidance in a broad range of business areas. This programme will enable participants to gain a working knowledge of how to set up a business and/or to manage an existing business. The course runs for three weeks with two sessions per week.

This programme will enable participants to gain a working knowledge of how to set up a business and / or to manage an existing business.

What the programme offers:

  • Help you develop a business plan for your own business.
  • Introduction to a broad range of business issues facing all those who start and run their own business
  • A Business Advisory Service, which provides one to one support to assist you in the development of your business idea.
  • A financial planning service which will highlight potential sources of funding and eligibility towards further assistance, such as grants, low interest loans and equity.

This 3 week course will run over 3 consecutive weeks with 2 sessions per week.

The course has been adapted to take place fully online, ensuring the safety of our trainers and students. Please note you will require a suitable device to take part. This could be a  tablet, laptop or Smartphone with speaker and Camera.  A headset is recommended but not essential. Adequate broadband speed is also required. Minimum speed of 2mb is recommended.

Each session will be videoed and shared to you via a secure link to view or download. If you do not wish to be included on the video please inform Local Enterprise Office before the course starts.

The course facilitator will be in touch with you before the course starts via email to share the login details of the training session
