The establishment of Local Enterprise Office Mayo – operating under a Service Level Agreement between Mayo County Council and Enterprise Ireland – places Mayo County Council centre stage in efforts to promote enterprise & economic development in Mayo. The Local Enterprise Office allows the Local Authority to become more business-focused and highlights the strong enterprise-enabling services of Mayo County Council. Some of these include:

Enterprise Enabling Services

• The Local Enterprise Plan which will provide a framework for enterprise development in Mayo;
• The County Development Plan which provides for and facilitates the strategic development of the County;
• The development of promotion and marketing materials that highlight the many advantages of establishing and growing business from Mayo;
• The development of a wide diversity of enterprise-enabling infrastructure in the County. This includes the development of suitable enterprise space;
• Developing Memorandums of Understanding with and facilitating incoming trade delegations from Cuyahoga County, Cleveland and other locations;
• A series of EU-funded programmes, e.g. the CINEW Programme that benefits the creative industry sector.
