Inaugural Job Fair was a great success
Over 650 job seekers from all over the Midlands and further afield flocked to the first-ever Offaly Job Fair held in the Tullamore Court Hotel on Saturday 2nd July. There were 36 employer stands and over 500 hundred jobs on offer.
The Tullamore and District Chamber of Commerce together with support from the Local Enterprise Office Offaly, Offaly Local Development Company, LOETB, the Technical University of the Shannon and Tullamore and District Rotary Club organised the event.
Among the attendees from Offaly County Council were Chief Executive Anna Marie Delaney, Head of Enterprise Orla Martin, Cllr Neil Feighery, Cathaoirleach of Tullamore Municipal District, Cllr Declan Harvey, Cllr John Clendennen, Cllr Mark Hackett and Cllr Eddie Fitzpatrick. Also in attendance were Junior Minister Pippa Hackett and Deputy Carol Nolan.
