Kim McKenzie Doyle, Director of the Institute of Designers Ireland and Head of The Big Idea
Kim Mackenzie-Doyle is a creative advocate, an internationally recognised product designer and winner of multiple worldwide design awards. Kim is a firm believer in the power of creativity to effect positive change. As a former President and current Director of the Institute of Designers Ireland, she has represented the design community on a number of government-led initiatives including the Expert Group for Future Skills Needs.
Currently Kim is Founder and CEO of The B!G Idea, a multi-award-winning creative education programme for 15-16 year olds that bridges the gap between industry and education. Her reputation has attracted an incredible team and a formidable Board of Directors who have developed a ground breaking creative thinking programme that is bringing the most in-demand skills in the world to young people nationally.
Lynne Whelan, Senior Design Strategist, Design + Technology Gateway, SETU B.A, M.A., PhD ( c )
Lynne Whelan is a Senior Design Strategist in the Design+ Technology Gateway bringing together an SME owner/manager background with an M.A. in Design Driven Innovation and is a doctoral candidate in Organisational Transformation. Lynne has multiple International publications in the field of strategic design in the modern business environment. Within the Technology Gateway Lynne has developed a series of industry offerings, successfully advancing strategies for growth and innovation in hundreds of companies from start-ups to multinationals across all sectors. The focus is to develop strategic direction in the implementation of business, product and service initiatives for industry partners leading to organisational transformation. This is delivered through facilitated workshops with individual organisations and through Innovation Management Development Programmes supported with extensive toolkits.
Jessica Reynolds, Technical Advisor - Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) Fund from Enterprise Ireland.
Jessica Reynolds has worked in the Research and Innovation Division at Enterprise Ireland (EI) for over 6+ years, helping Companies access R&D Innovation supports. Jessica has recently been appointed as Technical Advisor to EI’s Research Development & Innovation (RD&I) Fund and is currently working to engage LEO clients with the fund.
