LEO Roscommon launches new start up competition to mark 10 years of Making It Happen for Roscommon's small business community

Startup Launchpad is a new competition from Local Enterprise Office Roscommon to celebrate outstanding start-up businesses in the county and to mark ten years of the Local Enterprise Office supporting entrepreneurs.

The competition is open to all Roscommon based businesses who have started in the last year and to all Roscommon residents who are planning to start a new business or have a business idea that they want to explore.

Startup Launchpad will run across two categories; Best Business Idea and Best Start-Up  and there are cash prizes for the winners in each category.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a free, intensive one day Bootcamp in October to help them develop their ideas and businesses and to receive brilliant business advice and practical support on making their business plan a reality.

The application process is quick, free and simple but applications close on September 27th

Just visit https://submit.link/2Q7  and take 15 minutes to complete your application.

If you have any difficulties at all give the Local Enterprise Office team a call on 09066 26263 or email localenterprise@roscommoncoco.ie and we are happy to help.

Enda Cannon of Local Enterprise Office Roscommon says;

“If you are a new startup, are planning to start a business or are just at the idea stage, no matter how early, this is an amazing opportunity to access the full range of Local Enterprise Office supports and even win cash prizes. As well as the competitive element, there will be an intensive Bootcamp held over a weekend, so you can participate even if you are working full-time during the week. It is a great chance to learn from mentors, experienced entrepreneurs and from fellow participants, and to give your business the best chance to be really successful.”

Speaking at the launch Louise Ward, Head of Enterprise with Local Enterprise Office Roscommon said:

 “We are so proud of our talented, creative and innovative entrepreneurs in Roscommon and Startup Launchpad is the perfect way to acknowledge and celebrate them, as they are vital to the future of our economy. We know from experience that the real value for participants is in being part of the process; it challenges entrepreneurs to stop and really focus on where their business is at and where they can take it. The business planning, mentoring, advice and support they receive during the process is invaluable and being part of a programme like this helps them to build a network of fellow entrepreneurs who often become trusted friends and advisors to each other.

I urge anyone who has just started or is thinking about starting a business to log on to www.localenterprise.ie/Roscommon to learn about the competition and also to find out about all the other supports available from the Local Enterprise Office.”
