National Women’s Enterprise Day launched by the Local Enterprise Office

Female entrepreneurs and budding businesswomen from across Waterford are being encouraged to register for this year’s National Women’s Enterprise Day event on Thursday October 17th at the Majestic Hotel in Tramore.  The event, a Local Enterprise Office (LEO) initiative, is packed with speakers that will inform and inspire.

Jacqui Gaule, senior business advisor at LEO Waterford is looking forward to this year’s event, “The morning in Tramore promises to be filled with networking, learning and inspiration, featuring an impressive lineup of successful female entrepreneurs".                                                                                                         

“National Women’s Enterprise Day has always been a day of celebration of the very best in female entrepreneurship, highlighting the strength of that community.  This year promises to be no different.”

Following a buffet breakfast where attendees can meet and network, the day kicks off with a workshop led by Sinead O’Neill titled ‘Target Questions for Insights to Unlocking Success.’ This workshop will include an interactive Table Mastermind and discussion, allowing attendees to share ideas and experiences in a collaborative setting.

The focus will then shift to a panel session MCed by Lynda Lawton. The panel includes Stephanie Wickham of Expat Taxes, TV cook and broadcaster Aisling Larkin, Mailo Power of Monkey Cups, and Eadaoin Carrick, Executive Chairperson of Cantec Group and Vice President of Waterford Chamber. They will explore ‘Navigating Leadership and Overcoming Challenges’, offering valuable insights and practical advice from their diverse experiences.

Following the panel session and a short break, attendees will be treated to a keynote address by Dee Hutchinson titled ‘Unleashing Potential: Transformative Tools for Women to Make It Happen in Business and Beyond.’ Dee Hutchinson is a trailblazing international executive, entrepreneur, and four-time Amazon bestselling author. With two decades of experience in senior leadership roles at global giants like Vodafone, Virgin Mobile, and Digicel Group, Dee’s career is a testament to her resilience and innovative spirit. Her journey spans 18 countries across 5 continents, showcasing her versatility and global mindset.

The address has been designed specifically for women in business, the session will tackle key challenges such as juggling multiple roles, overcoming self-doubt, and navigating a competitive landscape. Dee will share game-changing tools and strategies to help women achieve more without overburdening themselves, balancing efficiency with effectiveness.

This will be followed by a light lunch and an opportunity to network or meet any of the morning speakers to ask questions and delve further into their stories.

National Women’s Enterprise Day is Ireland’s largest female enterprise event. It promotes, encourages and stimulates female entrepreneurship across Ireland. It is designed and led by women and is an annual high point in promoting entrepreneurship to women in Ireland. The Local Enterprise Office along with Enterprise Ireland provide a wide range of help, incentives, training, and development programmes to female entrepreneurs.

The National Women’s Enterprise event takes place from 9am to 12.30pm in The Majestic Hotel, Tramore, Waterford on Thursday, October 17th.  Tickets cost €20.
