Shortlist announced for Waterford Digital Awards 2024

Waterford Local Enterprise Office, in collaboration with Waterford City and County Council, has announced the shortlisted nominees for the Waterford Digital Awards 2024, set to be held at Dooleys Hotel on June 7th.

The nominees were whittled down to four per category by an independent judging panel consisting of Aidan Shine (CEO, South East Business Innovation Centre), Julie Smyth (Novartis), Jonathan Earl (B2B Communications), Una Ryan (Marketing Eye), Colum Bennett (Red Hat) and Shana Chu (Tailr). 

The Awards aim to recognise and reward SMEs based in County Waterford who have developed their ecommerce and digital platforms as part of their product offering. The Awards were open to all businesses with less than 50 full time employees based in County Waterford.

Those shortlisted for each category in the Waterford Digital Awards 2024 are:

  1. Best Export Website
  1. Best in Social Media

Gareth Evans, Head of Enterprise with Local Enterprise Office Waterford commented at the launch of the awards, “For the past number of years the Local Enterprise Offices have been promoting the importance of online sales. Through training and Trading Online Vouchers many of our clients have transitioned to include digital sales and promotional platforms. We’ve had two remarkable winners over the past couple of years and look forward to seeing who emerges this year. These awards are an opportunity to reward those who have made the extra effort.”

The winner of each category will receive €1,000 towards technical advice, photography, videography and marketing. The overall winner will receive €2,500 in cash.

The winning entrant of each category, as well as the overall winner, will be unveiled at Dooley's Hotel on June 7th.
