Celebrating its 8th year, the Local Enterprise Office’s ‘Taste Waterford’ lunch was a sell-out success and a suitable launch event for this year’s Harvest Festival.
Last Friday September 8th in the dining room of the Granville Hotel, Waterford diners celebrated and enjoyed the vast array of local and regional food. Speaking at the lunch was Councillor Cristiona Kiely, Deputy Metropolitan Mayor of Waterford City and County.
Business Advisor at the Local Enterprise Office Waterford, Jamie Whitty emphasised the importance of supporting local food producers. “Food producers are the backbone of our community, and it is crucial that we continue to back them.
“Waterford has a wealth of daring and passionate people working day in, day out to keep the spotlight on good quality, fresh, and tasty food. From brewers and bakers to coffee roasters and artisan producers, events such as the Harvest Festival and this magnificent Taste Waterford lunch are a great platform to showcase their wares to the region and further afield.”
