Waterford Local Enterprise Office is teaming up with successful female entrepreneurs to celebrate this year’s National Women’s Enterprise Day in the Majestic Hotel, Tramore on October 17th for a morning of networking and learning.

As a celebration of female entrepreneurship, Waterford Local Enterprise Office is hosting a special event for this year's National Women's Enterprise Day at the Majestic Hotel, Tramore. The event promises a morning filled with networking, learning and inspiration, featuring an impressive lineup of successful female entrepreneurs.   

The event kicks off with a buffet breakfast and networking session, providing attendees an opportunity to connect and share experiences.  Following breakfast, the focus will shift to a workshop led by Sinead O'Neill titled "Target Questions for Insights to Unlocking Success". In this insightful session, Sinead will delve into the art of questioning, covering key topics such as:

  • Understanding the Power of Questions
  • Learning how to ask the Right Questions
  • Seeking out mentors and role models
  • Application and analysis of the answers

This workshop will include an interactive Table Mastermind and discussion, allowing attendees to share ideas and experiences in a collaborative setting.

The morning continues with a compelling session emceed by Lynda Lawton.  The panel will feature accomplished entrepreneurs Stephanie Wickham of Expat Taxes, TV cook and broadcaster Aisling Larkin, Mailo Power of Monkey Cups and Eadaoin Carrick, Executive Chairperson of Cantec Group and Vice President of Waterford Chamber. They will explore "Navigating Leadership and Overcoming Challenges", offering valuable insights and practical advice from their diverse experiences.

After a break and further networking, attendees will be treated to a keynote address by Dee Hutchinson titled "Unleashing Potential: Transformative Tools for Women to Make It Happen in Business and Beyond". Designed specifically for women in business, this dynamic session will tackle key challenges such as juggling multiple toles, overcoming self doubt, and navigating a competitive landscape.  Dee will share game-changing tools and strategies to help women achieve more without overburdening themselves, balancing efficiency with effectiveness.

Through interactive exercises and real-world success stories, participants will gain practical insights to implement immediately.  This session is not just a lecture but an engaging, hands-on experience, promising to leave attendees inspired, optimistic, and equipped with the knowledge to make impactful changes to their business. Attendees will walk away ready to unlock their full potential and truly make it happen.

Stephanie Wickham

Stephanie is a Chartered tax Adviser and Chartered Accountant. With her husband she relocated to Australia in 2011 but when starting a family they felt like it was the right time to move home. She took a role with a local accounting practice and the experience didn’t work out. She was left thinking that her career was over but then realised there was a gap in the market for tax services for expats – people moving to or from Ireland. ExpatTaxes.ie was born and in the 5 years since starting she has not looked back. The team has grown to 7, working across 3 countries and 2 timezones, and they have worked with over 3,000 expats in the last few years.

Aisling Larkin

Aisling is one of Ireland's most well-known and liked TV cooks and broadcasters, reaching over 350,000 people each week through her live cookery segment on The Six O'Clock Show and her engaging food segment on Newstalk Radio & WLR FM. With expertise as a TV cook, food media broadcaster, educator, feeding therapist, mindful eating coach, keynote speaker, and food & wellness consultant, Aisling has a broad and expert background. She has run her cookery school, taught thousands to cook, and created educational programmes and content for international brands. 

As a food and wellness strategist, she helps organizations develop food-centric wellness strategies aligned with their mission and culture. 2024 has focused on consultancy, menu development  for an exclusive Dublin Golf Club & working on the development & reformulation of an innovative wellness & high protein food product for food service.

Eadaoin Carrick

Executive Chairperson of Cantec Group, celebrating 30 years in business in 2024.  Cantec provides Canon multifunctional printers and print-management solutions to business and the public sector, as well as document automation and workflow solutions.  A mum of 2 grown-up children, I spend my free time with my husband getting out for fresh air, enjoying good food with family & friends, singing with the Notable Works choir, and visiting great gardens.  In September 2023 I was elected Vice President of Waterford Chamber, I’m a committee member and former president of Network Ireland Waterford branch, and I’m a firm shop-local advocate.

Mailo Power, Founder & Managing Director of Monkey Reusable Products Ltd., Corporate Membership & Branch Liaison, Network Ireland National Executive, Ex Officio Network Ireland Waterford Branch.

Since launching at Showcase Ireland in 2019, Monkey Cups has become a leading brand in the reusable coffee cup and water bottle markets, exporting to clients in the Netherlands, France and USA. 

Specialising in creating custom branded reusable coffee cups and stainless steel bottles for corporate clients, which include IDA (West Coast of America), Today FM, Red Hat, MSD Ireland, Guinness, Emerald Air and Virgin Media. 

A believer in lifelong learning, Mailo graduated from the University of Gloucestershire with an MA in Fine Art in 2007.
