Byte-sized Introduction to Design Thinking

Participants will learn about the key principles of Design Thinking - Empathise, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test - in an interactive workshop environment.

Its easy to get hyper-focused on your day to day work and lose sight of the bigger picture, and miss opportunities to be innovative. Adopting an innovation framework will help you drive creative ideas collaboratively - Design Thinking is a way of solving problems by putting people’s experiences at the heart of the solution.

Over two hours, participants will learn about the key principles of Design Thinking - Empathise, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test - in an interactive workshop environment.

Course outcomes:

• Overview of Design Thinking
• Understanding of how to apply the framework for innovative ideas
• How to prioritise multiple ideas

Trainers 

Tracy Mooney - 30+ years international management experience; Experienced & qualified (Coach-level and Post-Grad Dip/UCD) Design Thinking teacher and facilitator.

Tracy is currently Design Thinking consultant at LinkedIn, facilitating projects, and has designed and delivered Design Thinking training across Global Central Operations. Previously, as Programme Director at IBM Ireland, Tracy facilitated Design Thinking projects with major clients and internal stakeholders as well as delivering Design Thinking training to a global team of Consulting Sellers (220+).

Eddie Daly -  Experienced technology professional, combined 22+ years with IBM and letsgetchecked, Eddie has worked in many different roles in IBM Ireland, combining technical skills with good business skills, being customer focussed, working on a wide range of different projects and clients. Facilitator of Design thinking workshops
