#YourSeatIsReady in Carlow as it ranks as second best town for Hybrid Working in a new study by Switcher.ie. Carlow also beat 38 other towns and ranked twelfth in Switcher.ie’s new Work-life balance index - which lists the best places for the perfect work-life balance. 

The release of the report is timely following on from a highly successful autumn/winter #YourSeatIsReady campaign in Carlow which focused on Carlow as a location for remote working and working holidays. 

With the support of the Town & Village Renewal Scheme, the #YourSeatIsReady campaign was run by a partnership of stakeholders including Carlow County Council , Local Enterprise Office, County Carlow Library, County Carlow Chamber, Carlow Tourism, Bagenalstown Area Chamber of Commerce, Network Ireland – Carlow Branch, Kilkenny Carlow Educational Training Board, South East Technical University and Carlow College. It included profiles of remote workers and their experience in Carlow, profiling the remote working hubs in County Carlow which are part of the Connected Hubs, National Network.

The newly released Switcher.ie study compared things like broadband speeds, mobile coverage, and access to local amenities like primary schools, GP surgeries, and major supermarkets.

It also looked at factors important for well-being, like green spaces, leisure facilities and cafes, house prices, commuting and crime rate.

• Carlow has been named as 12th best place in Ireland for the perfect work-life balance.
• With fast broadband speeds, more affordable homes and access to bus routes and transport links, Carlow beat 38 other towns on the list.
