Basecamp Outdoor Store was founded in 2010 in a shop in Abbey Street, Dublin 1 by Jack Layden. 

Since then the business has grown and moved to their current shop in Jervis Street, providing clothing a equipment to hikers, climbers and other outdoor enthusiasts. They also work with larger organisations like the Gardaí and the Defence Forces to provide procured cold and wet weather gear through their platform kitlist.ie

Basecamp has received a number of supports from LEO Dublin City including, mentoring, training, Lean fro Business, Green for Business and a Trading Online Voucher.

We caught up with Jack in the Jervis Street Store late last year to chat with him about his experience on the Green for Business programme and working with the LEO.
