Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys T.D., will open the Enterprise Ireland & InterTradeIreland, Practical Help: Brexit Advisory Clinic, which is taking place in Cootehill, Cavan on Thursday 22nd March.
The free clinic is open to all businesses and Local Enterprise Office Cavan is encouraging all small businesses in the greater Cavan area and neighbouring counties, including Monaghan, Louth, Longford, Meath and Leitrim to come along and ensure their business is Brexit-ready.
The purpose of the clinic, which is supported by the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Cavan, is to support companies affected by Brexit in Cavan and the surrounding border areas to take immediate action to address their exposure. Theclinic aims to strengthen their capabilities in 4 key business areas; financial and currency management, strategic sourcing, people and customs, and transport and logistics.
Marcella Rudden, Head of Enterprise, Local Enterprise Office Cavan, said; “Irish SMEs are uniquely exposed to Brexit, particularly so in the Border Region, due to the large scale Irish UK trade relationship. The Brexit Advisory Clinics are a free opportunity for businesses to learn about the key areas that Brexit will impact their business, and to highlight the depth of supports that are in place to assist businesses fully equip themselves to deal with the implications of what may happen. The Local Enterprise Office is here to help small businesses negotiate Brexit and we would ask them to come along and avail of the information and guidance on offer.”
Along with seminars throughout the day, the clinic will also give companies the opportunity to speak one-to-one with independent experts, who will provide company-specific guidelines and advice, while allowing company managers, founders and CEOs to privately discuss their circumstances and concerns.
