This half-day workshop will guide small businesses and first time employers in their legal responsibilities when taking on employees. Key areas which will be covered are:
- What are the legal and employment rights to be considered?
- What documents do I need to have in place - employment contract & related policies and procedures (grievance and disciplinary, anti – bullying & harassment, etc.)?
- What leave entitlements I must offer?
- How do I deal with sick leave and sick pay?
- What about health and safety requirements?
- Different working models to consider - flexible working, remote working etc.
- What if it doesn’t work out – probation periods and valid grounds for termination
