DOING BUSINESS BETTER - WICKLOW'S LOCAL ENTERPRISE OFFICE HOST BREAKFAST BRIEFING AROUND PRODUCTIVITY SUPPORTS

The Local Enterprise Office in Wicklow held a breakfast briefing on Thursday 27th June at Wicklow County Campus, Rathnew. The aim of the briefing was to provide an overview of the productivity supports provided by the LEO, mainly the Lean, Green and Digital programmes.

60+ attendees gained valuable insights to better processes, met with their peers, and can now avail of the productivity supports available.

The session was facilitated by Allyson English from Jigsaw Better Business. Guest speakers included Peter Norton from Poppies Café in Enniskerry, who has championed sustainability throughout his business, with the help of the Green for business programme, among others. Also in attendance was Daibhid Corish from Pinecone Coffee, roasted in Rathnew, who showcased the impact the Lean for Business programme has had on his business.

Speaking about the event, Cathaoirleach of Wicklow County Council Cllr. Paul O’Brien said, “The Local Enterprise Office provides a number of extremely beneficial programmes to local businesses, none more so than the Lean, Green and Digital supports. With the challenges businesses face today, these programmes are essential to remain competitive and sustainable and I would encourage all small businesses to get in touch with the LEO Wicklow team and avail of the supports. Well done to the team on a hosting this great event”.

Chief Executive of Wicklow County Council Emer O’Gorman echoed the Cathaoirleach’s sentiment, “Between rising costs, full employment and a variety of other challenges, small, local businesses need support to keep growing. These programmes are designed to give clients access to expert consultants, allowing them to remain competitive on the global market.
